Leigh & Jason chose to do their first look since they wanted to enjoy the cocktail hour with their guests and have plenty of time for their photos. I just love this moment…

This next shot was one that Jette got of me…and this is what I got I love when she gets pictures of me working. It’s always interesting to see the shot from another perspective.Leigh actually chose to do different color dresses for her bridesmaids and I thought that it was so unique!! I know that there are a lot of other brides out there thinking the same thing but just wondered if it would look right. Well, look how great they look!!Villa Christina is such a gorgeous location for weddings. I just love this place A lot of brides are hesitant to do a first look before the wedding because they worry that they won’t have “The Moment” when they walk down the isle. I think that this picture of Jason seeing his bride just proves that theory wrong. Probably the most unique cupcake-cake that I have ever seen. It was absolutely delicious!One of my favorite leaving pictures! For all of the photographers out there, this was taken with my 5D mark II, 50mm 1.2 ISO 6400 and no flash.

Here is the before…we took the picture after he had already taken down the one dinky shelf that we had so just imagine that where all the holes were filled.It was painters beige ugly, no character, no color and just drab. We put up track shelving, painted the same color as the rest of the house, and got some cute baskets from IKEA and TA-DA!!Plenty of storage for all of my stockpile items. I just loooooove it!!So here is the breakdown of what it cost us:

Gallon of paint: $0 (Already had it)

Track shelving: $98

Baskets: $46

TOTAL: $144  Pretty good for a Sunday afternoon project! I plan on making some artwork for the walls just to dress it up a little more.

I spent the afternoon with them talking about pregnancy, the excitement of parenthood and how far cloth diapers have come. They are such an amazing couple and I know that they will make pretty amazing parents Can’t wait to meet little Jane!

So now on to some of my favorites!! This one I just fell in love with. I love the simplicity of it and how honest it is. Luckily we were able to go outside for a few last shots before a huge storm hit. Every weekend I have to pinch myself. I can’t believe that this is what I get to do for a living. I get to document this amazing day with amazing people and I get to tell their story through my eyes. It’s pretty humbling I had a great day with Michelle & Rusty and their wedding turned out perfect! They are an amazing couple and I was so fortunate to be a part of such a special story…

Her beautiful dress…I thought this was a cute one my assistant, Onli, got of me and then what I was actually photographing. It’s always cool to see it from another person’s perspective. I may just do a full post on this one day!Michelle after arriving at the hotel after getting her hair and makeup done. Isn’t she gorgeous?!!Then we headed to the Botanical Gardens for her pictures before the ceremonyHer beautiful bridesmaids! I just loved the colors of their dresses!Since it had been raining earlier that day, we took advantage of the situation…and her amazing bouquet by Tulip. I simply love their flowers!!And here is Rusty…My assistant’s view (Thanks Onli!!)and my view…Normally I would post a kiss picture but there was just something about them moment right after their kiss. It was so sweet…The lighting around the Gardens was absolutely perfect. Her amazing dress from Bridals by Loriand her shoes…how incredible are these babies??!!I slightly had a crush on these flowers so needless to say, I took a TON of pictures of them. They were absolutely perfect. Thanks to Gardenia Floral Design for their amazing talent!Her gorgeous bridesmaids rocking their BCBG dresses. I thought these were simply the cutest thing!!and a shot of their flowers because well, look at them!!Matt in his custom suit by Tom JamesI absolutely fell in love with the vintage look of his suit and tie. I could have photographed him all day!Alright, now this photo is probably going down in the books as my “Favorite Groom Picture EVER.”I just loved all of the small little details that made their wedding so unique. I loved their shoes Brasstown had the most amazing view for a wedding. Love this…I just love the way that Matt looks at Anjali and the way that they laugh together…Finally Mr. & Mrs. Mosteller Their amazing looking bridal partyAnd now for my favorite time of the day. When I get my time with the newly weds Two of my favorites…I just fell in love with this property. They had such amazing locations and the lighting was absolutely beautiful over the mountains!Anjali simply rockin’ it.And the reception was a perfect ending to the day…So after a long day of shooting and a belly full of food, I headed up to my room where my husband and sweet little boy were waiting for me. It was an awesome day and although I quite exhausted, I was so inspired and was quickly reminded of why I do what I do. It was an amazing weekend and once again, I am so blessed to contribute a part of me to their wedding day and to document such unique love stories.      Life.is.good.

It was nice because before we left the hotel to head to the church, we had some extra time to take advantage of a few pictures. I typically don’t do portraits in the hotel room, but with this amazing light and a gorgeous bride, how could I not?!!Kim, you know how to work-it. Her beautiful bouquet by A Bevy Of  Blossoms.Kim & Jon decided to do a first look which was perfect. Their wedding was later in the evening and we would have missed out on all of this amazing light outside! Ohh how I love First Looks!!Their church had extremely strict rules for the photographers. Absolutely no flash, stay on the balcony and no moving around. Well I am the type of photographer who ask for forgiveness, not permission. I had talked with Kim before the wedding and she told me to do whatever I had to do to get the shots. “It’s not like they are going to stop the wedding because you walked up a few isles. Well I literally walked up to the first pew, very discretely of course and never even used my flash so no one knew that I was there. SO worth it to get these pictures And as you can see, this church is huge so it would have been impossible to get these photos from the balcony!!I have to thank my amazing, can’t-live-without-you assistant, Jette for taking such good care of me. Being three months pregnant and photographing a wedding isn’t the easiest thing to do. So Jette, thanks for running to get me water, carrying my bags and hunting down an amazing dinner for me. You are my hero – xxoo.

So we arrived in Vermont a few days before the wedding to make sure that we had plenty of time to adjust and get familiar with the place. What we really should say is that we wanted to do all the touristy things that we could possibly fit in so that’s what we did. We went to the lobby of our small hotel, picked up any flyer that sounded remotely interesting and we planned our day around chocolate, maple syrup and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. It was an amazing road trip and I think that we both had way too much fun. I mean, we really get paid for this?!?!!! Here are a few pictures from our personal album…

One of our many road side stops because really, how can you NOT stop and take this in?We stopped at the maple syrup farm and picked up some goodies for our husbands back home. Such a neat little place.So Sunday morning we woke up to the sound of rain. Bummer. We were optimistic though. We showed up to the Alerin Barn and we were blown away. This place was unlike anything that we have ever seen. Talk about being inspired!!!And the inside, just about the coolest thing we have ever seen…Everywhere you turned, the details just popped out at you. Jenni being the fabulous bride that she is, bought a fancy pair of rain boots since it was obvious that the rain wasn’t letting up. LOVE HER!!!

My point of view…and Dawn’s…Her incredible bouquet that I was a little obsessed with. Jenni & Mark decided to do a first look to allow plenty of time for their pictures The rain stopped just long enough for their portraits so we were able to really take advantage of the amazing property at the Alerin Barn!This place was truly amazing. I think that the rainy, drizzly day just added to it and made even more special. I just LOVED everything about it!!!one more of her gorgeous bouquet…Love this one!!!Gorgeous Jenni who we could have photographed all day…

Then it was off to the simply beautiful ceremony….So needless to say, we had an amazing weekend full of so many fun things and great people that we met. Words can’t begin to describe what a good time that we had and how fortunate we are to do what we love, together.
