When I think of our kitchen, it brings back memories of when we were first married. I remember it was the first room in the house that I could convince Brian we should paint. He had lived in our town house for about a year and a half and never so much as hung a picture on the wall and I am the kinda girl that will paint my entire apartment purple without thinking twice. So when I officially took up residency in our home together, I had to have color. So the kitchen is where we started. I was actually shocked that Brian was okay with my Granny Apple Smith choice of paint color. I though for sure he would want to go with a darker shade of beige to start off with. Nope. He smiled as he rolled the bright green paint on the walls. No turning back I guess.
Well since that, I have convinced him to paint Jonas’ room an awesome tourquise/blue, which is perfect for a little boy. Not too baby-ish. Perfect. Then I painted our half bath the same color (which I did one day while he was at work) so he couldn’t say anything about it. I’ve painted my hime office a few times and I’m ready to go at it again.
I just love color and I love change. So Brian came cross this picture from HGTV and it’s on the list for our next project. Hopefully we are going to paint the kitchen, the cabinets and add some new accessories, maybe even a backsplash to update it and make it a little brighter! I am so excited and I can’t wait to head to IKEA to start looking for inspiration!![KB-2470977_kitchen-color-green-beth-haley_lg[1] KB-2470977_kitchen-color-green-beth-haley_lg[1]](http://lindsey-turnerblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/KB-2470977_kitchen-color-green-beth-haley_lg12.jpg)
Can’t wait to get started and I will definitely take pictures of the progress!!
